Flying Ace Jigsaw Puzzle Assembly

Snoopy in the Flying Ace jigsaw puzzle is 300 pieces but not made for children under 14 years. The pieces are extra large and very durable which is appealing for smaller children. The image being a Peanuts cartoon with Snoopy flying on his house might be very appealing to children too but the assembling part might be frustrating for them.

I would have expected this one to go a lot faster than it did. I did my usual sorting routine.

1. Sorting to locate all  the outside border pieces, while....

2. Placing the pieces into the 'general-color' piles.

3. Then I carried on with a second round of sorting (similar colors sorted by shades/patterns) while placing the pieces flat out on the poster boards.

I started with the red house and scarf. Next, green hat, brown glasses and white body shape. The black lines used in the whites, blues and purples were the tricky parts but of course very fun to see Snoopy emerging in the clouds.

Flying Ace Jigsaw Puzzle Comments

Buffalo Games has always been good quality for me so far. I can see how this image would be attractive to younger children but the box does say 14+ on it.

This was a Thrift store find for $2.00 and all the pieces were there so I was lucky for that. Also the poster was still inside the box in new condition not that it was really needed in this case.

My Snoopy collection....

I am a HUGE Peanuts fan. One of the Jigsaw Puzzle Connections Facebook Group members sent me The Great Pumpkin Collectors Edition in a tin can case, the jigsaw puzzle - Dog of 1000 Faces and the little Red Baron roller toy all in kindness and generosity.

You can see  below that I have completed The Great Pumpkin which is a shaped puzzle. I have traced-cut and mounted it onto to foam board and sealed it with clear (window-shrink) plastic to seal it. It is 500 pieces and 19 x 19".

My sister located Snoopy at the piano and it plays a Christmas tune and the Buffalo Games Photomosaic - Joe Cool is one of my most favourite finds at a Thrift store. So FUN!!!

I (impulsively) purchased the 3000 pieces Peanuts Gang because it is not available very often in Canada. Then I spotted the 500 piece Multi Shaped Peanuts puzzle and immediately searched for it in Canada. Of course it was not available so I connected with my contact over at RoseArt (a.k.a. Car-Z-Art) Wendy to ask her where I might get one in Canada and she replied "Not likely to happen" but she had one right there and would send it to me immediately  - which she did!
