Sadly, my puzzle time with my mom has come to an end (for now). I have to say that she was getting a kick out of all of the comments that everyone wrote. Thank you for your wonderful comments. You really made her feel special. She is as adorable, precious, beautiful, and smart as everyone said, and more. I am back home with my husband and adult son, but I do have one more puzzle to post. Mom and I did this one last night, but I didn’t have time to write up my review before now.

This puzzle was one of my new purchases and was a fun one to do. Mom kept thinking that it was an owl puzzle because of the central figure that looks like it has big owl eyes in it. It’s called Kaleido-Butterflies, but I have a feeling that some of these are moths and not butterflies, but they are all lovely. My mom picked what she called the zebra butterfly to do first. It’s the white, black, pink, yellow and blue one on the far right side. I started with the big blue and white one down in the bottom left corner. From there, I moved to the big one in the lower right corner before filling in the rest of the bottom half. For some reason, Mom chose to do all of those little leaf-winged insects to do after completing her zebra butterfly. I don’t know why she decided to do those little guys, but that was the wrong strategy. It took her quite a while to get most of them assembled. By then, I was almost finished with my half of the puzzle before she decided to move on to something a bit more fun. I left her to finish her part of the puzzle so I don’t have a photo or video of her putting in the last piece, or rubbing her hands over the completed puzzle. (Sorry!)

This particular puzzle is part of their Mudpuppy line, and while it is not designated as one of their Mudpuppy Kids puzzles, it is probably too challenging for a child of normal puzzle abilities to do. An experienced kid would have no problems assembling this puzzle. I didn’t have any real issue with it, but I have to admit that I lined the loose pieces into two groups based on shape (long & skinny vs short & wide). There was simply too many colors and patterns to leave the pieces intermingled. This puzzle was typical for the brand, with little puzzle dust, grid cut pieces with a semi-gloss finish  made of recycled materials, and an enclosed small poster. There were no missing pieces, no bent or damaged pieces, and no cut issues resulting in “twins”. If I didn’t have so many puzzles in my stash, I might have kept it to do again, but it is going to a new home.
