Rather Be Reading Puzzle

Check out these books in the I'd Rather Be Reading puzzle. The assembly time for this one broke a new record for me. I completed it in 7 hours!  The text is a little difficult to read on the book binding but some of it is readable. Rather Be Reading Puzzle Assembly

I did not do my usual sorting routine as the piles of colors will be worked in color orders according to the image as that was pretty basic.

As you can see in the completed border image below the image is portrait rather than the more-often landscape.

Also, you should note that the image does not contain the title as shown on the box "I'd Rather Be Reading" as some puzzlers have suggested that it should.

This Galison jigsaw puzzle comes with a handy poster shown bottom, right.

I focused on the piles of colors starting with the red, then yellow, green and blue. As you can see in the work-in-progress photos it was easy enough to leave the brown shelves until the end. Once I got to the brown shelves, I lined all the pieces up according to shapes. There were not many different shapes but quite a few pieces so I started with the bottom section, tried piece by piece until I completed each shelf around the colors. Luckily that part was not too daunting as there was not too much brown between the shelves.

My normal speed for a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle would be about 10-12 hours however this was a record breaking 7 hours for me as my previous record for a 1000 piece puzzle is 8 hours. Yay for me!!! I loved it!!!
