My Confident Puzzler Difficulty Rating: Easy
A silly illustration with silly, tongue in cheek book titles - sometimes just the kind of puzzle to fill a little bit of time. This puzzle went together in a snap - something this very slow puzzler rarely if ever has proclaimed!
Quality: Pretty good. There was a lot of puzzle dust and on a few pieces some of the backing layer was left behind uncut. It did not have pick up off the table tight fit, however, when piecing it together, the fit was perfectly acceptable. The sturdy, smaller square box has the full image on the top and a full, but smaller one on the bottom. Inside was only a sealed bag of pieces; no poster was included. Color match pieces to images was spot on. The solid, low sheen pieces were a nice thickness and easy to handle, none needed to be separated, and none were missing.
Getting started: Find the edge pieces and sort by color. Sorting by book and sorting out the frog pieces was easy enough, so I did that while pulling out the edge pieces.
Construction: I built the frame first and filled in the bottom books. The frog and vertical books came together to complete the build. That’s it — it was so quick there’s nothing more to say. Clearly not a challenging puzzle, but it most certainly was relaxing, entertaining FUN!
Final thoughts: I started puzzling about 22 months ago. I have completed 182 puzzles and this was the first from CraZArt. No reason other than not seeing illustrations that appealed to me. I was hunting for low piece count puzzles and thought this was cute. Can I recommend this brand wholeheartedly after doing only one puzzle? - probably not. But, the quality issues I mentioned above wouldn’t keep me from trying another if I liked the image.
My grades: Quality A-, Fun Factor A++
