I also want to take this opportunity to thank Customer Relations at Cobble Hill Puzzle Company for selecting me to be the one to introduce this NEW line of jigsaw puzzles for 2017. That was a Christmas present in and of itself! I am one very happy and lucky puzzler!!!!!

I ended my 2016 jigsaw puzzle hobby year with the best series I have ever had the pleasure of assembling. This article will review and share photos on all four.

The back of the Cobble Hill Puzzle Company Archie Jigsaw Puzzles box displays all four images. They are bagged securely inside the sturdy box (my photo shows pieces are opened).

All four puzzle measure the same size, 26.625 x 19.25”, even though the puzzles are available in 500 or 1000 pieces. The following photos shows the difference in the size of the pieces. I have placed a 1000 piece puzzle over the 500 piece puzzle to show how the measurement size is the same.

The pieces are of top quality. The 500 pieces are cut looser than the 1000 pieces. The 500 pieces are like a 'ribbon/grid' cut and the 1000 pieces are cut in the random shape style.

You will note in my photos that I have my own style of puzzling. I sort out the border pieces and at the same time I sort out piles of colors. Then while placing them on the foam boards, I re-sort deeper into the color piles and/or specific items-images in the puzzle photo. So that basically ends the sorting for me and takes about 1.5 hours to complete. I then choose the most biggest or obvious items/colors and work my way to the smallest.

Archie Jigsaw Puzzles #1 - Love Triangle

This was the first puzzle I completed. It took between 4-5 hours. The first thing I noted was the loose cut. I figure the cut is loose on purpose by Cobble Hill Puzzle Company. I expect they are thinking that children may be assembling these and the looser the cut, then the easier it will be for the child to move the pieces and less damage when they take the puzzle apart. However I have not specifically asked that question.

As you can see in the image that this one is fairly basic in colors and simplicity for adults to complete but that just added to the fun. This was sheer delight and I often refer to this type of puzzle image as a 'quick-fix'. It certainly was but that makes it the perfect way to spend a couple of hours with your child(ren) doing a puzzle, just chatting with each other while relaxing as the image is forming on the board.

Archie Jigsaw Puzzles #2 -Archie Covers

This was another 500 pieces 'quick-fix' for me. It worked the same as the Love Triangle, loose pieces and semi-sectioned off areas to help define the image. This one is not so much for the younger child(ren) but more like 10-15 year olds because of more details.

On the plus side for this one, the puzzler gets to read the little comics too which is mindless humor but lightens the mood.  And the timing was close to 4 hours.

Archie Jigsaw Puzzles #3 - The Gang At Pops

This was the first 1000 pieces in the Archie Series I did. As I mentioned, the pieces are randomly cut but not as drastically as some random cuts I have seen.

I found this one to be the most difficult of all four mostly because of all the details, mainly the faces. Although, making up for that was the 2 large areas of color being the pale yellow and light greens. They went fairly fast likely because of the random cuts.

This one certainly is not for young children and even for someone who is not interested in so much detail. This puzzle took me closer to 15 hours to complete so you will want to prepare for long sitting times.

Archie Jigsaw Puzzles #4 - Archie Classics

I started off this 1000 piece puzzle in my normal style. I managed to sort with several piles of  color-look-a-likes. Then I really broke down the color boards in good color sections as you will see in the following photos - it saves me from sorting and puts me right into focusing on the image.

I thought the background was going to cause some slow-down but it did not. Then I thought for sure the big Archies letters would do it but that went surprisingly well.

This one is for the older children too and it took about 10 hours to complete.
