I did my usual sorting routine.

  1. Sorting to locate all  the outside border pieces, while....
  2. Placing the pieces into the 'general-color' piles.
  3. Then I carried on with a second round of sorting (similar colors sorted by shades/patterns) while placing the pieces flat out on the poster boards.

Obviously there was not much to sorting this image. Dark colors and light colors would do it. I started  with the Bengal Tiger in the front as it was the most clear cut. I moved onto the second Bengal Tiger. I found the head and paws not very clear in the photo.

Of course the 5x7" card looks quite clear and even the finished image looks mostly clear. But when assembling the rest of the image, like the fallen brown tree for instance, the pieces seem somewhat blurred.

Luckily for the great overhead lighting I have I am able to distinguish color shades fairly well because all around the Bengal Tigers is pretty much darkness. I relied upon the shapes of the pieces for the better part of these areas.

Here is 2 very close up photos of this Photographed jigsaw puzzle. I think the cut lines contribute to some of the distortion of the Bengal Tiger's face and paws on the right. Look how clear the head and body is on the left image.

The Bengal Tigers photographic jigsaw puzzle is part of a 10 pack. Sure-lox calls these the Puzzlers Collection which are made up of Photographic images. Also they refer to them as Deluxe Puzzles.

I will try working these ones so I can contribute them to the Monthly Themes Jigsaw Puzzle Facebook Group's page. There is a Raffle at the end of the month.  You will in turn be able to create a Ravensburger puzzle in a collectible tin with a photograph of YOUR choosing.

To qualify for the raffle....

  • you must post at least 1 completed puzzle
  • If you post 3 completed puzzles or more - you will receive an additional raffle entry
  • For your post to qualify, it must be a photograph and it must be 300 pieces or more

The following image shows the variety of photographs in this collection. The box is damaged somewhat at the side which is surprising because it is actually made of very heavy quality. I purchased this one at the Thrift Store for $4.00.

Even the pieces are of good quality and when I completed the image I could actually pick up the entire puzzle and it stayed together. However, during assembly when I wanted  to move sections, the pieces did not stay together.

I hope to get through the 5600 pieces in this set to add to my collection and I will also give my 'opinionated' rating ;)

The above jigsaw puzzle(s) have been added to my Puzzle Hobby Tracker

I am in the process of recording all my past jigsaw puzzles that I still have for my walls and all my current puzzles.
