My Confident Puzzler Difficulty Rating: Easy(ish)

Yes, it’s only100 pieces, so of course it won’t take too much time, and no, not every trick in the book is required to piece it together. But this little gem, in comparison to others in the brand’s “Mini ” collection, is a bit more challenging. That said, it was just so much fun!

These puzzles come in travel size boxes, and are small enough to fit on almost any any flat surface. The artwork on most of the collection will definitely appeal to adults (if you are into Harry Potter, all of them fit!). No embarrassment doing one at your desk during a break - if anyone asks just say “the puzzling process helps me to work better, it clears my mind and offers calm no matter the number of pieces.” Start a trend!

Quality: Near perfect.: By now I have done a baker’s dozen of these puzzles. they all have loose piece fit. With so few pieces that is not really an issue.The sturdy little boxes are truly travel size (4” x 4.125” x 1.625”), inside is a sealed bag of pieces. The full illustration is on the box top. Color match pieces to image is perfect. There is no puzzle dust. The solid pieces have low sheen and are a nice thickness. So far, no pieces have had damage or been together uncut, and none had missing pieces - an excellent track record!

Getting started: Find the edge pieces and sort by color. For this one I sorted the top, the middle (the tricky part!), and the bottom. Sorting 100 pieces doesn’t take very long, so why not sort? No answer required - I always sort, and almost always beyond color. It’s so nice that puzzling can be different for everyone!

Construction: I built the frame first, and filled in the signage. Then came the bottom third, and lastly the middle. I never look at the clock, I just enjoy the process however long it takes. A bit longer means more puzzling time, more calm - that’s a good thing!

Final thoughts: To repeat, these puzzles are plain and simple fun. I often due one after finishing a 1000 piece challenge. But these puzzles can fill anytime, even to relax before sleep. Small piece count puzzles can be found from many brands, I like these because the piece size and illustrations feel “adult”. But I have done others that are nostalgic and just appeal for that reason. Also in the 100 piece, small box category, I can recommend a set of six Kellogg’s cereal boxes from Spinmaster. The pieces are a bit larger and the finished dimensions are 13.25” x 9”.
