My Confident Newbie Difficulty Rating: "Sew" Easy

Yes! Finally! A 100% perfect puzzle . . .

There was no puzzle dust. The sturdy box is small. The full illustration is on the top. Inside is a sealed bag of pieces and a large poster. Color match illustrations to pieces was excellent. The solid, larger than average pieces are very low sheen. Puzzling at night with overhead lighting was no issue. Not a single piece was damaged, none were together uncut, none were missing. There were no false fits and piece fit was totally acceptable - I did pick it up; it was only a tad short of pick up perfect. All that and, comparatively speaking, quite well priced - I’m totally impressed!

Getting started: Find the edge pieces and sort by color. Very straight forward for this design. Sorting by color sorted each of the 12 button sections. I also sorted out the mostly wood pieces.

Construction: I built the frame and filled everything in. Seriously, not much else to tell. There was very little color confusion. Yes, the red and orange, yellow and gold, and the blues had some mis-sorts, but things were easily remedied during the build. Not that any part was difficult, but the purple section was the trickiest.

Final thoughts: Honestly, I wish I had gotten the 1000 piece version. I knew the simple design would not be difficult, and that’s fine. I do not need to be tear my hair out challenged to appreciate the calm of the puzzling process. And yes, I definitely had fun. I would have enjoyed more time with this relaxing puzzle experience! This was my first Colorcraft puzzle. Maybe I’m too high on something I’ve only tried once, but I’ve now done 93 puzzles, so many of which were not perfect. I think the brand is worth trying out.

My grades: Quality A+. Fun Factor A+
