My Confident Puzzler Difficulty Rating:

No time for puzzling during the busy holiday season? Try a 100 piece puzzle. The benefits of puzzling will clear your mind, bring calm, and offer some moments to just relax.

Quality: Almost perfect. I’ve done many of these now, they all had loose piece fit. With so few pieces it’s not really an issue. Otherwise they get high marks. The tiny, sturdy boxes have the full image on top. Inside is a sealed bag of the pieces. Color match to the graphics is excellent. There is no puzzle dust. The sturdy pieces have low sheen. None have been damaged or together uncut, none have been missing.

Getting started: Find the edge pieces and sort by color. For this one I sorted out the lettering, the group of carolers, the tree parts and the snow. Sorting 100 pieces doesn’t take very long, so why not sort? No answer required - I always sort, and almost always beyond color. It’s so nice that puzzling can be different for everyone!

Construction: I built the frame first, added what I could to that, and then put in the lettering. Next came the tree parts. The carolers took a bit of time, then I filled in the remaining snow. This is such a precious image, just like this time of year!

Final thoughts: So many brands carry 100 piece puzzles now. The New York Puzzle Company’s “Mini” collection has illustrations with universal appeal. These puzzles are not just for kids! They also make cute little gifts. And in the universal spirit of giving, treat yourself and a puzzling friend with one. Enjoy and happy holidays to all!

My grades for Caroling: Quality A, Fun Factor A++
