Cat   Library   Puzzle

This Cat Library puzzle is a combination for a lot of jigsaw Puzzlers. The book titles are cleverly 'cat' titled.

I love a library of books. Just walking into any library and being among all those books is such a comforting feeling for me. It would be a wonderful moment to see this wall of books with all those cats there. Cat Library Amazon link

Cat Library Puzzle Assembly

I did my usual sorting routine.

  1. Sorting to locate all  the outside border pieces, while....
  2. Placing the pieces into the 'general-color' layout onto the Grateful House puzzle trays. These trays are 14" x 10" in a pack of 8. I can layout all the pieces easily IF I use the lid for the edge pieces. This example is using the Cobble Hill Brand puzzle at 1000 pieces and puzzle Size is 26.625" x 19.25".

As you can see in the image to the right, the pieces seem to be in piles of dark colors, maybe seven different tones. Fear not though as it is not as bad as it appears....

Take a look at the Cat Library puzzle poster below. It is nice and clear and gives you many little details to help set up sections of assembled puzzle sections which well eventually join together. I can only imagine how much fun it was to put this image together AND how long it would have taken - HA!

I sampled the use of the Grateful House puzzle mats with the Cat Library puzzle. Below is a nice example of the border assembled on the thick flat surface of the mat. Showing on this work-in-progress, you can see the 'clumps' of sections I started with first and as usual, I picked out the most outstanding colors on the books and then did the cats.

I suggest building this one using the 'cluster' method which means, building little clusters off to the side and move those clusters into position on the puzzle board - eventually it will all come together ;)

As I eventually completed all the cats on the Cat Library puzzle, I lined up all the wood-shelf pieces and matched them up with the books. I found the dark vintage books, mostly in the brownish colors to be the trickiest of all.

The images below show the adorable cats and some of the cat related book titles.
