The Fireworks Puzzlebug jigsaw puzzle sure was tricky to work but it looks terrific when assembled. Here is how I worked this one. As you can see there are a lot of dark colors.
The pieces are cut in a ribbon/grid style so the shapes of the pieces were only so helpful. What I used the most for guiding on this one was the lines of the fireworks which were associated with the respective colors.
I assembled the buildings on the bottom first then I grouped the lightest pieces into clumps. Then it was into the darkness to use the shapes of the pieces....after that, it was mostly 'try this piece'.... 'try this piece'.... 'try this piece'.... 'try this piece'.... etc...you get it.....
This was actually easier than I thought because of the colours and the lines. I enjoy these smaller 500 piece puzzles as a quick-puzzle-fix and the price at the Dollar Tree is $1.25. But that also means lower end quality. However I will not be keeping this puzzle in my collection - I will be adding it to my Puzzle Hobby Tracker
Puzzlebug has great images, great prices, make great 'quick-fixes' but low quality. Three out of 4 ain't bad so it makes it worth my jigsaw puzzle pleasure time!
