This is definitely a first for me! The Lee Valley Wooden Block puzzle was gifted to me by family members who understand my passion for the unique jigsaw puzzles. 

Well, they certainly nailed it with this one. This is such an interesting puzzle concept that I can appreciate. It was such a surprise and delight to receive!

Here is the pile of blocks with the 6 images set in a pile. 

No sorting required.

I decided to focus on one image and the rest would fall into place.

I laid out all 35 blocks in rows then took each one and continued to turn it until it matched the chosen image. Maybe that was why it took so long. I do not know if there was a quicker way to assemble it.

Lee Valley Wooden Block Puzzle Comments

This Lee Valley Wooden Block Puzzle  is a near reproduction of the original antique wooden puzzle produced in the early 1900s. CLICK HERE to view it.

It is more difficult than it appears because  you are trying to fit the pieces together to make an image and to determine which of the six sides belongs to your chosen image. You can see below a sample of 4 out of 6 different views in the upper right corner representing the images of the sides of the blocks.

The blocks are 1-5/16" cubes with a section of one of six images available to assemble.

More Lee Valley jigsaw puzzles...

The Lee Valley Wooden Block-puzzle is a perfect addition to my collection of 'different' puzzles.

However, due to butting up 'puzzle pieces to puzzle pieces' is not my ideal puzzle 'forté' so to speak.

Therefore, I personally would not buy this puzzle for myself.

It does make a great gift because it is a tad pricey too.
