My Advancing Newbie Difficulty Rating - easy as pie 

How cute is this?! I only bought it because when I saw it, I laughed out loud — so funny. Look at that self assured cat painting his alter ego. Can you just stand it?! I don’t even own a cat, but I had to have this one. It is just the perfect quick fix puzzle.

Quality: Almost perfect. Loose piece fit turns up everywhere it seems; I’m getting used to it. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about. It comes in a small box, no shrink wrap. The inside sides of the top are glued to outside sides of the bottom. Nothing shows when the box is closed. But, if you must have a totally pristine box, that is a minus. Inside the box there is a poster; the pieces are loose. There was no puzzle dust. Color match picture to pieces was great. The pieces are beautiful — they are very sturdy and seem thicker than with some larger Buffalo puzzles I have done. None were stuck together in any way, none were damaged, and none were missing.

Construction: Find the edge pieces and sort by color. Simple enough with 300 pieces. I tend to do that, build the frame, and sub sort out objects. I did that with the first sort, so mirror, painting, desk, corner tables, cat on the stool, background. Done!

Every puzzle does not have to be challenging! Sometimes it is just the joy of the puzzling process that brings satisfaction. And, after completing one that was excruciatingly challenging, doing a puzzle like this is like a little gift to celebrate the accomplishment.

My grades: Quality A-, Fun Factor A+
