There's some great colour on the One World One Hope puzzle. The image is unique and lines are crisp and were quite helpful for the assembly process. You may like this one by the same Brand Amazon link

I have a sorting routine I usually do with most jigsaw puzzles however I opted out with this one due to the basic red, blue, green and yellow. As you can see in my 'sorted' piles how the light blues blend into purples, yellow into almost orange, reds blended towards brown and the greens turned to light blue.
I could not locate the puzzle size on the product so it was not until I sorted the edge pieces that I realized I need to change my 20"x30" foam board for one of my prefab-modified-size boards before I got too far. It was established the boarder proved to be 24"x24" and the edges went together pretty good. I felt I was on a real role with this one already. |
Building down off the yellow was the most outstanding area to start. This is also the first test to see how well the pieces fit and/or assembled sections slide into place. The pieces have a nice 'snappy' click with a clean cut and they are solid pieces. That also tends to make the pieces less likely to stay connected when sliding the sections across the board. I have assembled this manufacturer's cut in the past. You get a beautiful, smooth finished puzzle image that tends to be a loose cut which seems to be the normal these days. |
So I carried on with the process of working the oranges next, then I moved onto the reds. Turns out the darker shades of red we see on the image are actually a deep red/brown. That kinda tripped me up for a few seconds but it also made sense for the shades in the red areas.
This is also where the assembly process started to get trickier. I laid out the eyes as best I could and managed to get the lips and heart established. The rest slowed me down as I got into the blues and I left the greens for last. On my side board, I lined the pieces up according to their shapes which were the basic grid-ribbon cut so there was not too much variation. That was probably a good thing.
Now the following images shares the closeups of the different sections. You can see how nicely those pieces have clicked together, giving the image a lovely appearance of smoothness. You can also see the colour variations of the shades. The black lines are perfectly clean which was also helpful in the assembly process.
All that said above, it should be noted here when you are ready to de-assemble the puzzle, this puzzle cut breaks down quite easily and the pieces are solid enough that they will not bend as some other brands will.

This Joe Average, One World One Hope Puzzle arrived this week in my mail and I have to admit, I am pretty impressed with this product. It's the whole package and by that I mean, a fantastic, colourful image in a solid, reusable container and neatly tucked into an inner container, there is the info pamphlet, glue and velcro mounts to hang the completed puzzle on the wall. Take a look below to see what's inside!
The image above is the front of the container showing the image of the completed puzzle. There is not poster inside therefore the container will need to be used as the image guide. Or there is the little image on the pamphlet too which I will probably use in this case due to the type of image it is. There are large chunks of bright colours with black lines so the image is not heavily detailed in small items.
This is a 1000 piece puzzle and it does not have the measurements on it so that will be determined in my review.
The above image shares a brief history of this particular image completed by the Artist in the 1990's. |
On the back of the puzzle container, it explains the meaning of Pal Vancouver referencing their mission and Artist community. |
I was wondering how I was going to get the lid off this (paint) container because it does not indicate any 'lift here' sign. So I decided to try to pull it off and 'poof' - it easily lifted with only one hand. So that's good news. |
Then on the inside I see the above image which has a pleasant note: It says, "Be kind to one another". That's a really nice way to start this product. |
Now you can see above that the second container has lift red tabs on each side and then you can see the items inside the 2nd container. |
There is glue and 2-way velcro-stickers to hang the puzzle on the wall - a complete kit! |
The above is the front and back of the little pamphlet. It has the QRC code which means you can scan it with your phone and be taken directly to the Joe Average website. | |
Then you can see how colourful the puzzle pieces are inside the can. They are not in a sealed bag (that's ok). The pieces are quality with nice sharp edges. My review will determine the cut. |
You will see on the website there is a Shop tab and there is some very lovely artwork on display there. Take a look here: Click Here |
Inside the middle of the pamphlet (below) you can find more information about PAL Vancouver and then some fun puzzle facts. |
The below image gives you information with safety instructions and how to glue the puzzle with a link. |
So that's a thorough intro for the Jo Average brand and the One World One Hope puzzle. Next I will start putting this one together after I finish the current puzzle on my puzzle workstation. There will be a full review with images coming soon.
