Redouté Puzzle Assembly

I used the Grateful House black trays again. It requires using the tray lid so that all the pieces fit onto the trays. I could just as easily place the edge pieces directly onto the foam boards but it was convenient to set up the sorting system as shown below. The puzzle pieces can be sorted in the centre into the surrounding trays and according to colour/objects/details. The edge pieces are to the bottom far right tray. There is barely a spec of puzzle dust in the empty box indicating the cut of the pieces are nice and clean.

The border went together fairly quickly and simply, following the edge pieces on the border picture.

Speaking of picture there is a nice poster included with these 1000 piece puzzles as shown to the right.

I got the most easiest areas assembled first which is the Redouté signage and the pink/black text along the bottom of the puzzle using the floral lineage to be my guide. Then I needed a strategy.

First I started with the least amount of colours that were outstanding. That meant the purples, greens, yellows and red. It was pretty clear right off the hop that pink would be last.  There are not a lot of 'big' areas or colours and a few areas were more distinctive than others.  The assembly process seemed to go fast and then slow down, then fast again once I got past 3/4 of the puzzle.

Redouté Puzzle Comments...

The matte finish is always nice on these non-glare Cobble Hill Company puzzles. I was totally delighted with everything about this puzzle including the cut. I can highly recommend it.

This Redouté puzzle reminded me much of the the Barbara Behr flower collages titled Blue Flowers and Pink Flowers by Cobble Hill Company. Likely because they are collage puzzle images. The following are some close up images of the lovely flowers followed by the time line for Pierre-Joseph Redouté's life timeline.

The following is taken from the fine print on the Cobble Hill image and is copied to the best of my ability in hopes I got the spelling correctly. It's interesting to read but very difficult to see the fine print which is why I tried to recreate it here...my apologies if there are errors :(
