Sparkling Tree Jigsaw Puzzle

The Springbok Sparkling Tree Jigsaw Puzzle looks much better on my table than it does in the photo below.  It has the 'gold foil' look to it giving it the 'sparkling appeal.  The details are vintage Christmas ornaments with sprinkled candles and candy canes.

Board ALERT! Watch your board size on this one. It is 24" x 30" (60.96 x 76.2 cm). A good portion of 500 pieces may measure within the 20" x 30" foam boards - not this one. I needed to get a bigger board. Luckily I DO have a few different sizes.

Sparkling Tree Jigsaw Puzzle Assembly.....

I did not do my usual sorting routine with this one. Springbok has random cut shapes so separating flat edge pieces is kinda difficult. So being a shaped jigsaw puzzle it seemed next to impossible to locate the border pieces.

It was easiest to pick out the tree top first because that was the uniquest color. The large patches of red were next so I built several ribbons off to one side. The base of the tree has colored glitter so that was the second portion built.

The internal tree ornaments were quite tricky so I built sections of ornaments off to the side as well.  The border left the most challenge and was left for the last.

Sparkling Tree Jigsaw Puzzle Comments

I had purchased this Springbok puzzle over a couple of years ago and have wanted to assemble it for 2 Christmas seasons now. I finally got to it this year. I thought it would be a keeper in my Christmas collection because it is a shaped Christmas Tree with glitter embedded into the image.

While I can appreciate the glitter and shape of the puzzle, I am not fond of the actual artwork on the tree. The painted items on the tree do not appeal to me and seem somewhat muted particularly around the bottom of the tree.

Even though I was not interested in keeping this one I really did enjoy assembling it. The following images share the sparkles extremely well. This Sparkling Tree jigsaw puzzle is not available to purchase new. 

I have also had the pleasure of assembling the Lazy Creek also by Springbok.
