My Confident Newbie Difficulty Rating: Easy

How to feel old: realizing I was in my mid 20’s when this first aired
How to feel good: realizing the calm of even a brief and simple puzzling experience How to feel great: realizing I just finished a cheerfully bright and colorful perfect puzzle!

Quality: The best! Environmentally friendly packaging - no shrink wrap, no plastic bag, small, sturdy box. Okay, the sides of the box are glued shut. Even splitting them carefully will result in tears to some of the cardboard. The damage does not show when the box is closed. I am not bothered by it. But if a pristine box is essential, points could be taken off. Inside, the pieces are loose and a large poster is included. The full design is also on the box top. Both illustrations are an excellent color match to the mid-sheen, solid pieces. They are a nice thickness and are easy to handle. None were damaged in any way, none were connected uncut or otherwise, none were missing.

There were no false fits and piece fit was pick up off the table tight. In my opinion — Perfect!!

Getting started: Find the edge pieces and sort by color. I sorted by object and words, the coins, some background, but that’s me. Sorting by color accomplishes about the same thing with this 300 piece puzzle.

Construction: Building the frame offers a world of information. The five Price is Right game icons were done lickety-split. The title took a bit more time, as did the center logo. I never clock my time because I am slow with every puzzle and it doesn’t bother me. But, it did feel like this nostalgic bit of fun was finished in (for me) record time.

Final thoughts: A 300 piece puzzle is just the thing to do following a 1000+ piece mind boggling one, which is why I chose it. Yes, this was a very easy brain exercise. I am sure my brain was even enjoying the rest, but it still had all the benefits puzzling offers. I continue to be amazed every time I take a break that I do not think about anything else while I am puzzling. The calm of it all - it’s a wonderful thing!

My grades: Quality A+, Fun factor A+
