This is about as much sorting I did, which of course is none. I did lay out all the pieces onto the foam board (forgot to take photo) and attempted to choose what I thought might be the boarder pieces. Eventually I did locate them all as you can see in the photo below but it was not so easy. I picked out the bluish-green along the top edge and picked out the thick black stripes along the sides and bottom portions. I continued to pick out the larger black stripe pieces until the boarder was finally complete. My apologies for the image below is set to sideways :( |

Next I focused on the dark solid areas which are the Zebra snouts and the brownish fur upon their mains. Some of the bluish-green pieces assisted with that. Then once I worked the solid larger pieces that showed black/white stripes that left a gaping hole (as shown in the photo below) in the middle which was the eyes and faces of the Zebras. That was a very tricky area because the stripes were in a circular motion so I had to rely more on the shapes of the pieces rather than the lines themselves.

The unique cuts were quite different to handle because they are wood.....it was like the pieces had to be set in from directly above and not slide into place from the sides. The image was so tricky to work especially the black 'swirly' lines. The wood is from the forests managed on a sustainable yield basis. I would say they are about 1/4 of an inch. They were quite solid. The quality of Wentworth wood jigsaw puzzles is fantastic. This is the second Wentworth puzzle I have had the pleasure of assembling. |

You can see how the company presents their puzzle packaging with class. Both puzzles I have show the care put into the pieces as they provide a lovely sachet to secure the pieces safely. The box is solid and complete with all the details of the company and the artist. I especially enjoy picking out the little whimsies and in this case they are zebras and Zebra head profiles. It's rare to get a Wentworth jigsaw puzzle in Canada but if you have an opportunity to buy or try one of these Wentworth jigsaw puzzles I can highly recommend the experience. |
