WerkShoppe Puzzle Company

I was contacted on PuzzleHobby.com by WerkShoppe to see if I was interested in reviewing one of their products. No problem as that is what we enjoy doing.

They let me choose any puzzle so I felt the puzzle titled 'Together We Can' was most appropriate. As I viewed their website, I realized I was discovering a relatively new company. I immediately contacted them for an email interview.

Read on to learn about this interesting puzzle business. WerkShoppe is located in CA USA.

The WerkShoppe Puzzle Company Review

1. How did the company arrive at the name WerkShoppe?

Wayne loved the idea of creatives “werkshopping” together to create the artwork for the puzzle collections. It’s a concept that emphasizes community and working together to make beautiful puzzles and other products we may engage in as we grow and build our company.

2. Is there more background on Ann Marie and Wayne?

3. There are many Artists supplying some fantastic images. How do you go about finding them? Is there any special criteria you look for?

Wayne spearheads the creative process of seeking out the artists to work with. Social media, especially Instagram, makes this sooo easy!  WerkShoppe has a creative point-of-view and so we always seek the imagery that supports that. We love working with a wide diversity of artists from all over the world‑it’s what makes our art so special to us.

4. Are your puzzles produced in the USA?

Yes!  All of our puzzles are printed and produced in the USA.

5. Do you, or will you ship outside of the USA and Canada soon?

We plan on shipping beyond the USA and Canada in the future but we don’t have a solid timeline.

6. I see on the 'About Us' website page it says, quote; "A few years ago...." does that mean the company has established itself to this level since just before COVID?

WerkShoppe is just over a year old!  We launched right in the middle of the pandemic.

7. Do you have anything new and exciting coming in the future?

Yes!  We are constantly adding new puzzles. We have a new 250-piece puzzle kids collection launching later this month.

8. Is there an 'inside scoop' you can share with us that no one knows about; like, do you allow dogs in the workplace or the company is involved in donating-type events?

Lol- we do allow dogs and are adamant about supporting art education and enrichment programs…so yes and yes. We are not ready to share any other inside scoops at this time but stay tuned!

A few years ago we realized there were so many artists out there doing amazing work but struggling to be seen. It made us wonder; what if we could bring these artists’ work to a larger audience, so they could continue to create? And how can we help people discover all this new art by making it really accessible?

So we decided to create WerkShoppe

We see ourselves as an Art & Design community first. An online gathering place and ecommerce platform where artistic collaborations with emerging and established artists are turned into creative products.

We help people connect with art and with each other. We’re definitely picky about the art we love but we’re not snobby about where to find it.

Art brings us so much happiness and we want you to feel that way too.

Our first products are beautifully made puzzles designed to help you press pause, featuring really interesting artists. We love it, we love what we do, and we hope we can share that love with you.

Press Pause,

Ann Marie & Wayne
