Classic Cars Jigsaw Puzzle

I love this Classic Cars jigsaw puzzle even though the background was testy! The image is gorgeous and the car is truly impressive. The colour blends are perfect. Definitely a Fall puzzle image.

Classic Cars Jigsaw Puzzle Assembly

I did my usual sorting routine.

  1. Sorting to locate all  the outside border pieces, while....
  2. Placing the pieces into the 'general-color' layout onto the Grateful House puzzle trays. These trays are 14" x 10" in a pack of 8. I can layout all the pieces easily IF I use the lid for the edge pieces. This example is using the Cobble Hill Brand puzzle at 1000 pieces and puzzle Size is 26.625" x 19.25".

The border was definitely testy and took a few rounds of re-arranging the colors into the correct positions - or at least I hoped they were so time would tell. Luckily the colors were somewhat definitive. The green car was smooth solid colors and the grass/bush showed a different texture to it.

I started with the white parts on the car being the wheels, roof and back seat along with silver colors. These were built in sections until I could pull in the rest of the car-greens. Next I worked the grass according to shades on the image which was quite tricky but not as  testy as the bush. The bush was REALLY challenging and beside grouping together the bright colors and setting them into place, the rest was done by the shapes of the pieces.

Classic Cars Jigsaw Puzzle Comments...

The Classic Cars jigsaw puzzle was really quite daunting for a puzzle image to assemble. I spent a lot more hours on each area that I normally would for other 1000 piece puzzles.  This being a Thrift store purchase, I am pleased all the pieces are available which is always like a little bonus.

hI am totally attracted to vintage cars being in a puzzle format or on the road for that matter. However, this Classic Cars jigsaw puzzle Ceaco series will be directed to those who enjoy a challenge because the background (as shown on the left) on these cars is really daunting.

Also the pattern of the piece-cut are not really outstanding therefore even using the shapes of pieces to assist in the progress is not that helpful.

So be alert - I highly recommend this one only for those who like challenges. And if you like the image so much and want to give it a try, then just be prepared to spend some extra time with it.
