Title: Metamorphose jigsaw puzzle
Pieces: 3000
Size: 8. x 159 inches or 19.2 x 389.5 cm
Produced in Milano, Italy
This gem took me over a span of a few years to complete. I was attempting this challenge during the prime of my 'full-out family' life when the children's lives were as eventful as my own. This left very little time for my puzzle hobby. However, they helped with the puzzle during years in their lives too.
Once the 'family nest' became empty I had more time and space to spread this complex image across tables and boards to finally complete it in 2012.
And just look at it now....The M. C. Escher's Metamorphose jigsaw puzzle spans across the wall/roof section of one room - that's 13.25 FEET! It is one of my many conversation pieces as viewers are in 'awe' of the size and complexity of this image.
It was a VERY challenging jigsaw puzzle to assemble due to the image. The quality is medium to good and it is cut in the ribbon/grid pattern. Most onlookers would just shy away from this one and as I look back it, I think I was pretty brave to take this one on.
IF you are lucky to get this for a decent price it sure is worth the achievement to have in your jigsaw puzzle hobby collection. I definitely recommend it if you like challenges.
