Assembly

I normally do a thorough sort since this one was basically shades of whites with minimal darks and greens I just separated  it into a few piles

I did eventually layout the pieces onto the board though.....

After the border was completed, which was tricky enough, I started with the most obvious colors being the eyes, nose and mouth with the mouth being the most trickiest of that area.

The rest of the pieces were assembled based on shades of colors, shapes of pieces and 'fur' lines of whiskers  and fur areas.

Comments

The following images share some nice close up details of the shaded areas and the whiskers around the mouth and eyes. You can clearly see the way the random cut pieces are also patterned in an un-grid-like format.
