And the artwork within the image is very tricky to see while looking at the whole image but when you are assembling it they are pretty clear.

On the Wings of  An Eagle Jigsaw Puzzle Assembly

I did my usual sorting routine.

  1. Sorting to locate all  the outside border pieces, while....
  2. Placing the pieces into the 'general-color' piles. 
  3. Then I carried on with a second round of sorting (similar colors sorted by shades/patterns) while placing the pieces flat out on the poster boards.

I started this one with the special shapes piece you can see in the near-center top right image which did not help much. I tried to determine the border first, unsuccessfully I might add as you can see below. At first I thought there would be white on all the border pieces as indicated on the box image but no- so I tried to mingle my way through what I thought were the border pieces. I must admit the border remained a mystery for some time!

I chose to start with the pretty soft pastel colors which turned out to be the 'tail-end' of the eagle and portions inside the wings. I focused on the Eagle head, body and claws to help eliminate more pieces. 

I worked on assembling the 'hidden' clusters of animals within the image. After that was completed I was left with greenery-trees and the mountains.

These images share the good quality of this F.X. Schmid jigsaw puzzle titled 'On The Wings Of An Eagle'. The jigsaw puzzle is 23" x 38.5" so be mindful of your board and it's only 500 pieces. Below is some very nice close up images and the one down to the right shares the shape of the wolf puzzle piece where the pieces just but up to it.

I highly recommend trying these F.X. Schmid jigsaw puzzles as this one was a real delightful experience!
