Catching Santa Puzzle Assembly

I did not do my usual sorting routine but simply laid out all the pieces onto the foam boards. I tried to sort the largest onto one board and the medium/smaller sizes on the other board. You can clearly see the difference in the sizes in the images here.  |

The Catching Santa puzzle also comes with a very nice size poster. I tend to lightly tape the poster to the top outside of the box then put the box onto my puzzle stand with the empty plastic bag in the inside of the box - keeping it altogether! |

You can see in the below left image the completed border AND all the large and medium size pieces. I assembled them first to determine that the large, medium and small pieces take about 1/3 of the board-space each.

I took a lot of extra pictures of the fun details in this Catching Santa puzzle. We like to refer these puzzles as busy because there are so many details to look at. That said, due to the various activities in the image it creates a story in the mind's eye and certainly gives the family lots to chat about when assembling. An extra element here is the comical side such a the reindeer upside down in the window, Santa getting stuck in the chimney, the contraptions the kids set up set. We even have a jigsaw puzzle with pieces 'sprayed' on the floor which most of us puzzlers would not do.

The matte finish is always nice on these puzzles. As is the cut and quality of Cobble Hill jigsaw puzzles. It's been a while since I assembled a Family size puzzle and a cartoon type image. This is sure to bring some humour into family gatherings this year.
I have also had the pleasure of assembling the Cobble Hill Puzzle titled Christmas Train also 350 extra large pieces measuring 19.25" x 26.625".
