Being 300 pieces on this one, I only sorted out the boarder and made some general piles of colors. No need to layout the pieces as I would start with laying out the piles of colors to do as sections. For example, the majority of blacks/whites were for the black/white cat and the tabby browns for the tabby cat, the reds for the books and the rest were easy to determine. After all is it a 300 piece meant for younger Puzzlers but I enjoy them just the same. If it's a puzzle, it's meant to be put together no matter how many pieces or the size.
That said, being for younger Puzzlers, it presents enough of a challenge for them but not too much to discourage them, as it should be. Well done in that JaCaRou puzzles!
As you can see in the image below, I started with the red books, black/white cat and other areas before finishing with the tabby cat. It flowed very nicely together in under 2 hours.
The following are some of the close up images displaying the quality cut of the pieces, the creative artistry and the style of the ribbon/grid type cut.
At the time of this writing, Anie Matais of JaCaRou Puzzles contacted me to say she changed manufacturers and she wanted to send me a puzzle from the new production to see the differences. I noted instantly the following;
The pieces are of great quality which is a real factor for jigsaw puzzlers. It makes the puzzling experience so much more delightful when a section can be built in one area of the board and lifted carefully to another section without falling apart. A most important part of the puzzling experience indeed.
That said, along with the 5 improved conditions the new production presented is on the high end for a perfect puzzle experience and I highly recommend it.
