Zodiac JaCaRou Jigsaw Puzzle

This Zodiac JaCaRou jigsaw puzzle is one of my favourites on my wall.  I was attracted to it immediately when I saw it had a little extra and that was the shapes of the stars included with the monthly Zodiac signs. The centre circles with the four elements was quite interesting too. I am totally impressed with how much detail-related ideas have been included.

Zodiac JaCaRou jigsaw puzzle Assembly

I did my usual sorting routine.

  1. Sorting to locate all  the outside border pieces, while....
  2. Placing the pieces into the 'general-color' piles. 
  3. Then I carried on with a second round of sorting (similar colors sorted by shades/patterns) while placing the pieces flat out on the poster boards.

I was looking at the dark areas and wondering how much of a challenge this image may be. So I started with the most obvious reds, greens and blues. The 4 images in the very center were quite easy and then I started to build the text on the signs which went quite easy too. I started to build a few more of the images within the circles until I completed all 12. The borders were finished next, then the 12 signs in the center around the 4 center images. That only left the dark shades of purple, dark blues and black which was maybe 100 pieces and it sure did not take very long at all to find their places.

The following are some of the close up images displaying the quality cut of the pieces, the creative artistry and the style of the ribbon/grid type cut. I am really impressed that the white star signs were included in the image too!

Zodiac JaCaRou jigsaw puzzle Comments

JaCaRou Puzzles maintains very high quality

  1. The top and bottom box are quite sturdy 
  2. The puzzle pieces inside the box are in a Resealable bag (YES!)
  3. No puzzle dust (no extra clean up)
  4. The pieces were NOT cut loose and fit together great (very important!)

The pieces are of great quality which is a real factor for jigsaw puzzlers. It makes the puzzling experience so much more delightful when a section can be built in one area of the board and lifted carefully to another section without falling apart. A most important part of the puzzling experience indeed.
