Potting Shed Puzzle

This adorable Grandpa's Potting Shed Puzzle is so delightful. It appears this is also the kittens home as they have found some string to play with. There is also a mouse overseeing the situation in the upper right corner. Besides the flowers and pots and seeds, you can even see the All Star Oil can. |
The artist clearly paid close attention to all the details such as the typically worn off paint on the wooden table. Check out the vintage radio and watering can in the upper right corner as well. What was also interesting is that the kittens were all different colours.

I normally do a thorough sort on a 1000 piece puzzle but this one is 2000 pieces which would take upwards to 4 foam boards or more. Instead, the sorting was resorted to similar colors as I moved along different areas of the image. As you can see below the similar browns/blacks have been gathered.  |

On this Grandpa's Potting Shed puzzle I didn't even get the border done first this time. I started with piles of colors and placing pieces together. The kittens seemed most outstanding on the green bench along with the red flowers.
Basically what happened after that was sorting the colors according to the items in the image....so things like the radio, tools, seed packets were fairly easy to identify.
The blue window frame with the outdoor details were a little tricky too but the most testy areas were the brown shelves.

Potting Shed Puzzle Comments
The following images share some nice close up details such as the oil can and butterfly for instance. The artwork by Steve Read is impeccable with no brush strokes which makes for a VERY delightful experience. I have also had the pleasure of assembling the 1000 piece Vivid Collection Buffalo Hummingbird jigsaw puzzle also by Steve Read. It's a beauty!
