Canadian Aviation Puzzle

The Canadian Aviation puzzle really shares a rare view of history and how far progress has changed these steel birds. Hubby worked at an airport the majority of his entire life so he really enjoyed seeing this on assembled. He is very well versed in airplanes and all the mechanisms surrounding their flying abilities. He seems to light up when he chats about them as he is fascinated and very enthusiastic about them. That said, I was quite 'schooled' by him on a lot of these planes. Amazon Link

Canadian Aviation Puzzle Assembly

I did my usual sorting routine.

  1. Sorting to locate all  the outside border pieces, while....
  2. Placing the pieces into the 'general-color' layout onto the Grateful House puzzle trays. These trays are 14" x 10" in a pack of 8. I can layout all the pieces easily IF I use the lid for the edge pieces. This example is using the Cobble Hill Brand puzzle at 1000 pieces and puzzle Size is 26.625" x 19.25".

For the border, I laid out the ribbon-grid like cut pieces according to the 2 different shapes, then following the image on the box I placed the piece into the approx. image area of the border. Near the end, it is a matter of checking several pieces into the respective spots over and over until it all fits correctly. So  I would say that was the trickiest area.

I forgot to take work-in-progress images...or at least I cannot locate any on my camera....I did work this one on and off so that does not surprise either. That said, the back of the box shares some very  interesting Eurographics images. I actually have the world map that can be seen on there too. I did the 2000 piece version.

The following images share the great quality of this super fun Eurographics jigsaw puzzle. It is really nice to see these images in the larger size so you get a better view. You cannot really see the small details just looking at the finished picture and the tiny text is tricky to see. It sure looks terrific on the table and I do enjoy the educational type puzzles too!

I also had the pleasure of assembling the Higasa Eurographics Puzzle which was quite colourful too!
