The border seemed to go together quite quickly which was a sign - the entire image seemed to just fall into place very quickly. I have to say, this one was easy. I started with the pinkish clouds at the top, then the Saddle Done, down to the bottom fence, crowd, ferris wheel and buildings. |

Painting since his early 20's Eric Dowdle's Folk Art has been selling since 1995. He has won many awards and is well recognized within the jigsaw puzzle world. The quality of board and packaging has maintained the highest of levels.
As you can see I purchased this jigsaw puzzle for only .50 cents at the Thrift Store. I have had really good luck with 'not' missing pieces on a previously loved jigsaw puzzle however that was not the case for this jigsaw puzzle.
But - I did have 2 of the same (yeah...it happens) Dowdle Calgary jigsaw puzzles so I thought I would sort through the 2nd Calgary jigsaw puzzle and easily replace the missing piece in the first one - Well....such was not the case.
As you can see in the following image the cuts of the 2nd Calgary jigsaw puzzle are not even remotely close.....Hmmm....I still have a missing piece :(
This makes for a perfect example of why some jigsaw puzzle companies cannot replace a single piece of a jigsaw puzzle if it is bought new and is missing a piece. Pieces do go missing on brand new puzzles. I have experienced it proven by a sealed 2000 piece puzzle with 2 missing.
Not all puzzles are cut at the same factory either and even if the jigsaw puzzle piece is cut slightly different, chances are pretty good it is not going to fit into the 'missing piece puzzle'. You are better off to receive a brand new puzzle and do it again or replace it with a different puzzle altogether.
