Meadow Run Horses Jigsaw Puzzle

First I will do my review and then I will tell you a little story about what happened during the completion of this one.

   Brand: Puzzlebug

   Title: Meadow Run

   Pieces: 500

 Size: 18.25 x 11” or 46x28cm

These Puzzlebug jigsaw puzzles are made in China and imported from the USA by LPF Puzzles. They are a very low brand of board, so thin and bend fairly easy. That's the bad news.

The good news is they are dirt cheap. You can buy them at the Dollar type stores for petty cash. The other good news about them is the images they use for their puzzles. They have some of the most fantastic images I have seen in my years. Colourful, bright, pretty, alluring and very entertaining.

Low costs and fantastic images makes them real hard to resist. I like to refer to them as 'quick-fixes' because often the images are simpler for puzzlers to assemble. But not all of them....

Including this one.....The Meadows Run has basically 3 colours: green, white and brown. So I did the white horses first, then the brown horses. After that I sorted all the white/greens and completed the flowers. Lastly, I sorted the shades of green and finished it off from there.

Another point of good news for these Puzzlebug cuts it the pattern used. Most often you can determine which pattern shape will follow the next one unlike continuously odd shaped cuts. In this case those good points were helpful because the image was somewhat tricky.

Fireside Conversation - Free Flying Jigsaw Puzzle Pieces

I took a tumble today while moving my horse puzzle.....I tripped right over a doggie gate that is not normally attached to that doorway.

Since there has been some renovating going on, we gated off that room....anyways, the big puzzle board did not let me see the gate underneath it so I tried to walk right through it.

Needless to say that's impossible, so I fell flat face down, luckily onto carpet. I barely missed a printer/file cabinet on one side and a table on the other...and it rained puzzle pieces!!!!!!

My husband was standing right behind me too. It's all he could see was me going down in slow motion.

Good thing I am a small feather-weight person however, in all attempts to save the puzzle, my shoulder and upper arm took a severe sprain, not to mention a section of my back and a few bruises to my legs as they tried to break over the wooden gate.

I was 1-armed for 3-4 weeks and I also got to do the Meadow Run Horses jigsaw puzzle over again. I did a lot of pain-killers with A5-3-5 cream.

Let this be a reminder to us all to be just a little bit extra careful here.....despite the intense pain, I can still laugh at how incredibly funny all those puzzle pieces must have looked like flying in the air free as the wind.

I am giving this a very small green-checkmark because I like the price and image but do not recommend buying these if you prefer quality board pieces.

The above jigsaw puzzle(s) have been added to my Puzzle Hobby Tracker

I am in the process of recording all my past jigsaw puzzles that I still have for my walls and all my current puzzles.

Then I have the TO DO list that I am adding from my collection.
