The Pyramid jigsaw puzzle by Ravensburger is made of good quality plastic pieces. And because of that solid plastic some of the pieces were tight to snap into place, especially on the corner walls as the pyramid got taller. The assistance of the tweezers to snap them into place certainly helped. |

The following photos and captions shows the assembly process. Note how some pieces look like standard jigsaw puzzle pieces and some are formed with bendable pieces to adjust for sides and peak of the pyramid. The biggest-whitest piece in the first image below on the right is the actual peak.
By laying out all the pieces in numerical order I was able to follow the numbered pattern sheet supplied with the jigsaw puzzle pyramid. It says to start at number one and work the numbers clockwise.
I built the entire base first then determined how the side walls were going to attach. Once I realized how they were going to fit, the pieces started to move into place faster. The following images shows how I continued to build up the walls to the peak.
The peak was the trickiest of all and luckily I have smaller hands so I could leave 1 piece out and adjust the peak as best I could before setting the last piece into place. I also used tweezers to help pinch the connecting tips into a solid position.
Then to dismantle the pieces, the situation was the same. The pieces were tightly connected together. It is a real good thing the plastic is great quality because none of them seemed to bend out of shape making this jigsaw puzzle perfectly redoable.
As you can see above, once again I was able to get this one for $1.00 at my local Thrift Store (they sell all the jigsaw puzzles for $1, $2 or $3). It's always with anticipation - "will all the pieces be there?" Yes, they were so another bonus round for me.
I could not locate this exact one to be available for purchase but here is a few of the other Pyramid jigsaw puzzles by Ravensburger you might like to look at. I also don't expect you to pay these prices but you can use the information on the links to help locate one at a reasonable price (maybe on eBay or Facebook).
As I add this to my collection of completed jigsaw puzzles, I would highly recommend you trying this just for the experience alone plus it makes for a pretty cool ornament - or a jigsaw puzzle gift for a jigsaw puzzle Pal????
