I did my usual sorting routine.
1. Sorting to locate all the outside border pieces, while....
2. Placing the pieces into the 'general-color' piles.
3. Then I carried on with a second round of sorting (similar colors sorted by shades/patterns) while placing the pieces flat out on the poster boards.
The pieces to the left are the border pieces. Since there was no particular way to start this image due to the colors I would have to color and shape match the pieces. It was the shape of the pieces that would assist the most here.
As you can see on the image above-right, it was possible to put the colors into piles. I could tell this was going to be a testy one, not to mention time consuming. I am like a magnet to these colors so it was pure persistence that got me through this one.
There is only a small 'full' image on the back of the box so a magnifying glass was required and I took a picture and blew it up on the computer screen - that was VERY helpful.
The following 2 images gives a little bit closer look at the pics to see the great smooth quality of the puzzle pieces - it's great when the pieces lie flat and not bumpy or bent.
I 'did' have 2 work-in-progress images to share however a computer glitch is preventing them from being scaled therefore not allowing them to be uploaded. I am hoping to recover them at some point in the future but time does not permit that right now.
The Tetris jigsaw puzzle is not for everyone. I am drawn to the puzzle because it is THE only computer game I have ever played which was introduced to me by my daughter when she was growing up and computer gaming on TV's was a new thing.
This one is definitely a keeper for me. It has been on my Wish List for years and what luck for me! It was at the local Thrift store for $3.00 brand new in the box and sealed - Price $15.99 (Canadian) however it is on sale now for $7.87US (March/18) ....AND all the pieces are there!
I am extremely happy about this entire puzzle experience from purchase price to final assembly point. Now for the frame.
The above jigsaw puzzle(s) have been added to my Puzzle Hobby Tracker
I am in the process of recording all my past jigsaw puzzles that I still have for my walls and all my current puzzles.
Then I have the TO DO list that I am adding from my collection.
